Did you know that humans and giraffes have the same number of neck bones?

Despite their sky-high stature, giraffes also have just 7 cervical vertebrae, just like us! But here’s the twist—while human neck bones are quite small, a giraffe’s vertebrae can grow up to 10 inches (25 cm) each! That’s like stacking seven hardcover books to build a neck!

Thanks to this incredible anatomy, giraffes can gracefully munch on treetops, while we… well, we get stiff necks from looking at our phones too much.

Nature sure has a funny way of keeping things equal yet wildly different!
